Contact lenses are recyclable

May 22, 2019

Have you heard about the One by One Recycling Program by Bausch + Lomb? Are you concerned about the waste you are creating with contact lenses, especially those of us who wear daily disposable contact lenses? Bausch + Lomb has a contact lens recycling program for all brands and types of soft contact lenses! The used blister packs, top foil and contact lenses are all recyclable. Do you already recycle your contact lens packaging through your community recycling? Even if you make that effort, they can get filtered out due to their small size and contribute to landfill waste.
What you can do:
Collect: Each day collect your blister packs, top foil and contact lenses in a small cardboard box.
Print: Once your box is full, go to the website https://www.bausch.com/our-company/one-by-one-recycling and print a free shipping label.
Ship: The box can be taken to any UPS location for shipping or shipped from home. Unopened blister packs are not accepted through this program and should not be included in your shipment.
Please note: Bausch + Lomb contact lens cardboard boxes are recyclable through regular municipal recycling. Please do not include them in your shipments through this program.
